Idk. For a long time I think I was trying to be cool and now I’m just trying to be myself.
Along my journey of coolness I developed some pretty sweet Software Engineering skills. These skills are invaluable and I use them in nearly every pursuit. I enjoy how project-focused and hands-on engineering is, though my strong suits were always organization, attention to detail, empathetic leadership, and creativity.
I love music. Like a flower wants to grow, I want to create. I have a band in ATX called The Klinks and I study music and I songwrite.
The only thing I love more than music is community—my family, friends, and the people I meet.
I have an organizing business that organizes people’s homes. I choose to focus on that for money instead of software engineering because I believe it makes a more positive impact on people’s lives. Mostly when I refer to ‘work’ though, I’m referring to music.
Mobile App Development
During my tenure at RetailMeNot, Inc., I played a key role in the development and enhancement of their Android app, leading efforts that spanned from feature development to critical infrastructure improvements. My work not only ensured the app’s seamless performance on the Google Play Store but also laid the foundation for its long-term scalability and reliability.

If you didn’t catch this already, I love test. There’s nothing better than automating the mundane and ensuring hardwork is in a high-quality build. I love designing test environments. I’m passionate about it because it’s an area in software engineering where strategy really comes into play. It’s not just about writing tests; it’s about crafting an ecosystem of fast, reliable, and informative testing processes. I’m passionate about separating concerns—unit tests, client automation tests, backend tests—and then building backwards, creating mocking solutions so each component is tested in speedy, isolation. It’s incredibly satisfying to create pipelines that streamline the development process, reducing the need for tedious manual testing while ensuring key features always work. Damn, I love it.
