My work not only ensured the app’s seamless performance on the Google Play Store but also laid the foundation for its long-term scalability and reliability.
Key Contributions:
- Product Development: Spearheaded the design and implementation of innovative features for the Android app, guiding requirements and successfully deploying to the Google Play Store.
- CI/CD Automation: Architected and owned the complete CI/CD pipeline migration from TeamCity to GitLab and subsequently from GitLab to GitHub, establishing efficient workflows that streamlined development processes and reduced deployment times.
- Sales Team Support: Developed a custom automated tool leveraging Docker, Rclone, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), enabling the Sales team to receive daily Ad screenshots, enhancing their operational efficiency.
- Production Stability: Managed end-to-end production monitoring and troubleshooting, ensuring system reliability by promptly resolving issues, thereby maintaining optimal performance across the app.
- Mobile App Development: Engineered a custom mobile solution with a job powered by Executor Service, generating compliance reports to ensure adherence to government regulations for PcMag.

MerchTracker
MerchTracker: A Flutter-Based Inventory Management App
Project Overview:
MerchTracker is an inventory management app designed to simplify the tracking and sales of merchandise for musicians. This project showcases my ability to effectively utilize a range of engineering tools and techniques to deliver a robust, user-friendly solution.
Key Contributions:
- Flutter: Developed the MerchTracker app using Flutter, allowing for efficient cross-platform deployment on both Android and iOS from a single codebase.
- Firebase: Implemented real-time data synchronization with Firebase, ensuring inventory levels and sales records are consistently updated across all user devices.
- Dart: Utilized Dart, Flutter’s programming language, to create responsive and interactive UI components that enhance the user experience.
- GitHub: Managed version control and collaborative development through GitHub, including branching strategies for new features and bug fixes.
- Role-Based Access Control (RBAC): Designed and implemented a custom RBAC system within the app, enabling different user roles (Admins, Managers, Band Members) with appropriate permissions.
- CSV Export Functionality: Developed a feature for exporting inventory data to CSV files, laying the groundwork for future optimization in performance and scalability.
- Error Handling: Engineered comprehensive error handling to maintain app reliability, particularly in scenarios involving network issues or data conflicts.

Project Overview:
If you didn’t catch this already, I love test. There’s nothing better than automating the mundane and ensuring hardwork is in a high-quality build. I love designing test environments. I’m passionate about it because it’s an area in software engineering where strategy really comes into play. It’s not just about writing tests; it’s about crafting an ecosystem of fast, reliable, and informative testing processes. I’m passionate about separating concerns—unit tests, client automation tests, backend tests—and then building backwards, creating mocking solutions so each component is tested in speedy, isolation. It’s incredibly satisfying to create pipelines that streamline the development process, reducing the need for tedious manual testing while ensuring key features always work. Damn, I love it.

- Comprehensive Test Planning: Developed and managed a detailed project plan for testing initiatives in JIRA, fostering team collaboration and providing clear visibility into project progress and resource needs.
- Test Framework Development: Built a test automation framework from the ground up using Kotlin, Espresso, MockWebServer, GCP, and Firebase Test Lab, significantly enhancing test coverage and reliability.
- Efficiency Improvements: Reduced regression testing and release times from two weeks to just two hours by creating a comprehensive test environment with automated runs and Slack-integrated reporting.
- Advocacy for Unit Testing: Promoted best practices in unit testing by refactoring logic from views into view models, improving testability and software stability.
- Mocking Services: Developed mocking services for backend and security components, enabling isolated testing and more reliable results.
- Automation for Non-Engineering Teams: Designed and implemented an automation solution for the Sales team, developing a tool that automatically delivers ad screenshots to a Google Drive folder via a cron job.
